Leeds United Women return to FA WNL Division One North action this weekend, making the short trip to face local rivals Huddersfield Town Women away from home.
Initially scheduled for January, the original tie fell foul of the weather after a late pitch inspection at the Stafflex Arena deemed the surface unplayable.
The Whites go into the West Yorkshire Derby looking to keep pace towards the top of the league’s standings, where they currently sit fourth with six matches remaining.
Following a defeat at the Bannister Prentice Stadium to Cheadle Town, Simon Wood’s side responded well last time out with a much-deserved point in the North East against Durham Cestria.
Twice fighting back from behind, Sarah Danby’s stunning long-range free kick ensured United didn’t leave Maiden Castle empty handed.
Huddersfield Town, meanwhile, find themselves three points adrift of Leeds in their first season since relegation from the Northern Premier Division last campaign. Most recently, the Terriers were beaten on home soil by Middlesbrough 1-0.
Action from the Stafflex Arena gets underway at 2pm.
