Preview: Fulham vs Leeds United

Premier League football returns this weekend following the international break as Leeds United travel to the capital to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Whites have taken an encouraging four points from their opening three matches, beginning with a hard-fought victory over Everton.

A defeat against Arsenal would follow but Daniel Farke’s side got back on track before the break with a draw against Newcastle United at Elland Road.

Leeds sit 12th in the early standings on their return to the top-flight after the opening rounds of fixtures, two points above 18th-place Fulham.

The Cottagers kicked off their new campaign with back-to-back 1-1 draws, firstly on the south coast with Brighton before they were held on home soil by Manchester United with Emile Smith Rowe on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Last time out, Marco Silva’s side were controversially beaten by local rivals Chelsea despite impressing at Stamford Bridge.

The Whites most recent Premier League victory at Craven Cottage came in 2021 courtesy of goals either side of the break from Patrick Bamford and Raphinha.
