Preview: Blackburn Rovers Women vs Leeds United Women

Whites head to Lancashire.

Huddle vs Norton

It's a trip to the North West up next for Leeds United Women as they take on Blackburn Rovers Women on the road in the FA WNL Division One North Sunday afternoon.

Looking to build on victory last time out, Simon Wood's side will be keen to do the double over the hosts. In the reverse fixture, the Whites were 7-0 victors thanks to six different goalscorers, Chloe Dixon bagging a brace.

Leeds ran out 3-2 winners over Chester-le-Street Town Ladies the weekend prior, thanks to first half finishes from Brittany Sanderson and Alice Hughes, and Ellie White helping secure the three points after half time, despite a late consolation from the visitors.

Blackburn's last league fixture also came against Chester-le-Street in February, where they picked up their first win of the season by defeating their hosts 3-2. Despite this victory, Rovers still sit at the foot of the table, seven points adrift of safety.

Whilst Sunday's hosts are fighting to remain in the league, the Whites, contrastingly, are seeking an escape via promotion. Two points separate Leeds in second and West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town Women in top-spot, and the former will be hoping to capitalise on any Terrier slip-ups.

Action from The Loom Loft Stadium gets underway at 2pm.
