Darcie Greene: We're looking for three points

Defender previews Rovers.

Darcie Greene warmup vs Chester-le-Street

Leeds United Women are back in FA WNL Division One North action on Sunday, travelling to Lancashire to face league strugglers Blackburn Rovers Women.

A week on from a return to winning ways in the form of a 3-2 victory over Chester-le-Street Town Ladies on home turf, fullback Darcie Greene has previewed the clash.

"We are really looking forward to the game against Blackburn this weekend," Greene said. "We know that every game is a challenge in this league and we’re looking to get the three points again.

"It was difficult to take losing against Huddersfield last week, I think we deserved more from the game. Winning on Sunday against Chester Le was a good feeling, but I feel like we didn’t perform up to our standards and we still had more to give. Hopefully we can take that into this weekends game."

On the return to a regular fixture schedule: "It feels good to be playing again. It’s hard to gain momentum when you’re not playing and also maintain match fitness, so when games get called off it’s difficult but we just have to keep going and make sure we are ready.

"We know that Blackburn recently picked up a win against Chester-le-Street so they will be in high spirits, however we will be working hard in training this week and be looking to get the win."
