Leeds United are in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon (2pm), taking on Arsenal away from home in the penultimate away match of the 2021/22 campaign.
Jesse Marsch’s team travel to North London, looking to continue their recent form on the road, after claiming seven points and two clean sheets in their last three matches whilst scoring six goals in the process.
A third clean sheet for the Whites would be the first time they have secured three consecutive Premier League shutouts away from home, since December 1996. Arsenal however are hoping to end a run of their own, having gone six matches without a clean sheet.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently in 4th place in the Premier League, as they continue their battle for Champions League qualification in the final few matches of the season. The Gunners are fighting to get into the Europe’s elite competition, along with fellow London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham.
The permutations going into the final few games are simple for Arteta’s side. If they win their remaining four matches, they will finish inside the top four. If they achieve those wins, they may even overtake Chelsea in third spot.
After Saturday’s Premier League matches, Leeds know that three points on Sunday would see them move up a place in the league table, above Burnley into 16th after the Clarets lost to Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
A key battle between the two teams in the search for goals could be between two wingers. Both Raphinha and Bukayo Saka predominately operate down the flanks for their teams and do so productively, as they’re both in double figures for the season and top of the scoring charts for their teams.
The man in the middle on Sunday is Chris Kavanagh. The official is yet to oversee an Arsenal game this season, but has refereed Leeds twice so far. Both times have ended in defeat, away at Chelsea and at home to Newcastle United. In 24 matches across all competitions, Kavanagh has shown 87 yellow cards and three red cards.
Sunday’s clash has been selected for live television coverage on Sky Sports. Live commentary is available as always through LUTV. Alternatively, stay right here on leedsunited.com for updates throughout the match.

Team news
Jesse Marsch will be without Stuart Dallas who is recovering from surgery, after suffering a serious injury against Manchester City. Patrick Bamford, Adam Forshaw, Tyler Roberts and Crysencio Summerville are also still missing, but Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente are expected to return.
For Arsenal, it is unknown whether Ben White will return after missing the win over West Ham United. Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey are almost certain to miss the match, but Takehiro Tomiyasu should be fit enough to be involved if required.
