Leeds United are continuing their work around making Elland Road inclusive and accessible to all supporters. During the month of Ramadan, we want to make sure that the Muslim community are able to use facilities at the stadium without any hesitation.
The club recently announced the addition of a prayer room located at Elland Road, and it would be great to receive any feedback from fans to ensure the facility can be used by those who require it.
The prayer room is currently located in the West Stand, near the away team changing facilities. This facility is open to the public and can be accessed on a matchday through a member of the recently launched Wellbeing Team. The Wellbeing Team can be identified by their maroon high-vis jackets, and they are on hand to support with any additional needs of our supporters, including vulnerable people, those with disabilities and safeguarding.
If you would like to use the prayer room on a matchday you can find members of the Wellbeing Team dotted around Elland Road, but if you are struggling finding anyone, please ask your closest steward and they will be able to contact them for you. A member of the Wellbeing Team will then come and meet you and escort you to the prayer room, no matter where your seats are located.
The club are currently investigating a booking system for supporters to use the prayer room on a matchday, to ensure that those who would like to use it are able to.
If you do have any feedback or suggestions on how the prayer room should work, please contact [email protected].
