The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Plymouth Argyle on Saturday have been announced, with David Webb set to take charge at Elland Road.
The match will mark Webb’s 500th appearance in the English Football League, which started back in 2008 after gaining experience on the non-league circuit.
The Durham-based referee has gone on to take charge of 255 matches in the Championship, most recently seeing Stoke City and Bristol City play out a 2-2 draw at the bet365 Stadium, as well as also officiating the 2017/18 League Two Play-Off Final at Wembley.
The Whites have enjoyed strong form when Webb has been in the middle, winning seven of their 13 matches and drawing on four occasions.
Most recently, the official oversaw United’s 2-2 draw against Watford at Vicarage Road towards the end of last campaign.
Despite extensive experience in the EFL, Webb has refereed Plymouth in just six outings. The Pilgrims have struggled to pick up results, winning just once and losing three times.
