Pascal Struijk gave his reaction after Leeds United’s defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The Whites lost the match 4-2 to the Gunners, a game which saw two very different 45 minute performances from either side.

“I think we started way too sloppy,” Struijk explained, on the first half.

“As you can see in the second half, that’s the energy we needed to bring and the result would have been different.

“We were struggling to play in the first half and that affected the performance.

“We didn’t bring the energy we always bring, so it’s a bit disappointing we didn’t do that.”

Marcelo Bielsa made changes during the interval which saw a reaction and Struijk managed to score his first ever Premier League goal in the second period of the match.

“The majority of was said was to bring the energy back, then the football will come.

“It’s such a difference when we do that, our football is so much better.

“It means a lot to me to score my first goal but it’s just disappointing that we lost the game.”
