After scoring from the penalty spot in the opening day draw with Portsmouth at Elland Road, Pascal Struijk gave his thoughts to LUTV.
The defender played the full 90 minutes in a game that went both ways, ultimately ending 3-3 and in a point apiece.
“It’s the Championship, sometimes you can dominate the game and still lose or draw,” Struijk explained to LUTV, after the match.
“This is, I would say, a typical Championship game where anything can happen.
“We knew it was going to be difficult because they're a newly promoted side, just look at Ipswich last season, they came full of confidence.
"We knew it was going to be tough, but at the beginning, we had a lot of chances and only scored one. Then they scored two and we had to chase the game a little bit.
“When you concede a penalty at that time in the game, it’s very tough, but the lads showed real character to turn it around and get a point out of this game.
"Every team is going to play their best here. Every week will be a difficult test as everyone will give their all, so it’s a challenge we need to be up for."
