Pascal Struijk played the full 90 minutes in Leeds United’s 2-0 victory over Millwall, helping his side to another important clean sheet and three points under the lights of Elland Road.
The 25-year-old was a key part throughout as Daniel Farke’s side controlled the match from start to finish, and he gave his thoughts on the victory after the whistle was blown.
“It was a really good performance,” our central defender told reporters, at full-time.
“I think we were quite dominant from start to finish. So to come out and react the way we did after a game like Portsmouth, I think it's really good for the team and for the spirit.
“We wanted to show more energy, especially after the last game. So the energy for sure was one thing that we wanted to show tonight, and I think we did that really well.”
The Whites now have nine games remaining of the regular Sky Bet Championship season, and Struijk was asked about how the team will approach those fixtures.
“We will take it game by game and not focus on others, focus on ourselves,” he explained.
“For us, it's important that we focus on ourselves, we do our job and we don't get too frustrated.
“After a loss we wanted to show reactions straight away, but we are not getting carried away with one team wins, one team loses.
“So take it game by game, as I've been saying, and hopefully get as many points as possible.”
