The Leeds United Foundation played host to a special event centred around careers recently with young female participants from the Go-Ahead programme in attendance alongside Paige Williams.
The event, which was held at Elland Road, was presented by coaching staff from the club’s official charity that deliver all of our Women and Girls and Health and Wellbeing initiatives, giving an overview into their career journeys and how they landed their jobs at the Leeds United Foundation.
During the evening, Leeds United Women’s star Paige Williams was also on hand to discuss her experiences balancing football with work and her education. Paige fielded a number of questions during the event, including her personal route into football, and her advice for young girls who aspire to play the game they love and become successful.
The main areas covered during the exclusive session, included the various avenues into sport and how the Go-Ahead programme can support young females and provide opportunities for them to follow their dreams and give them a route into football for when they do leave school.
A big thank you to all of the secondary school girls who came along to the event, along with their parents, to learn more about the programme and the opportunities available around sport, football and the Foundation.
