The Leeds United Foundation have linked up with Leeds City College to provide an exciting female only post-16 education programme that combines full-time studies with football and the Leeds United female pathway.
The partnership has been formed to attract young female players who aspire to play at a high level, whilst also committing to an academic programme of study.
Leeds City College will provide students with an array of courses, with both BTEC Level 3 courses and A Levels on offer, enabling pupils to gain qualifications alongside representing Leeds United in the female college league on a weekly basis.
As the programme falls within our Leeds United female pathway, participating students will have access to a physiotherapist, strength and conditioning support, UEFA B/A licence coaching, and a holistic training programme with two sessions delivered a week, along with being given a full Leeds United training and playing kit. Training sessions will take place at West Riding County FA.
To gain more of an insight and learn more about what is on offer through the collaborative programme, the Foundation are hosting an open afternoon on Friday 3rd November from 2pm to 4pm at West Riding County FA. They will be delivering a presentation which will provide a more in-depth detail around the initiative, followed by an on-the-pitch training session with the college coaches, also giving you the chance to meet staff and coaches face-to-face.
