Leeds United Women face a quick turnaround this week, heading to Chorley Women for an away FA WNL Division One North clash following a League Cup Group T victory over Halifax Women in midweek.

Ahead of the clash, Monique Watson has previewed the visit to Lancashire.

"We need to go in fighting and fit. We can't really afford to take our foot off the gas so just all guns blazing going into that game, and hopefully three points."

The midfielder made her long-awaited return to action against Halifax following injury, coming on late on and setting up Chloe Dixon's winner almost instantly.

On how that felt, Watson added: "Fantastic. Honestly, I can't stop smiling to be honest.

"I want to pat myself on the back. I have worked so hard for the past 10 months so I'm giving myself credit here and it just felt fantastic.

"And then to get an assist, it was even better! And all the girls in the huddle were saying welcome back so it was really good.

"Just confidence," she commented on how the Whites' ruthlessness in front of goal so far will aid the ambitions this term. "Just momentum and confidence.

"It's something that we can keep building on, keep working on. Today we've conceded two, which wasn't fantastic because we want to keep a clean sheet in all games. But we're still scoring, so that's the main thing, and yeah, let's keep it going."
