Leeds United are back in action on Wednesday night (8pm), when they go to Old Trafford to face rivals Manchester United.

Following the departure of Jesse Marsch earlier in the week, Michael Skubala spoke to the media ahead of the match, to preview the game.

Skubala will be joined by Chris Armas and Paco Gallardo in the dugout, with the trio taking training on Tuesday to prepare for the match.

“It’s a collective approach,” Skubala explained, on the coaching staff.

“We will pick the team together. I think any staff team in the modern way picks the team together.

“I’m here doing the press, but we’re all behind-the-scenes working really hard to put a team that we think is really competitive on the pitch, to have a good go at Manchester United.

“I would say it’s an exciting prospect. It’s Manchester United, and you know, for the players, change is change.

“They are professional players, none of us need to get any players up for Manchester United at Old Trafford.

“It’s an exciting prospect and we’ll do the best job we can do.”

Skubala was asked whether there would be any tactical changes for the match - with such a short time between him taking training and the game.

He said: “We’ve got 24 hours.

“We’ve got one session this afternoon [Tuesday] that we’ve prepared with the players, some things will have to be the same.

“I think a few little tweaks in how we want to play and maybe a few differences you might see.

“But, fundamentally, we need to make sure the players understand the match plan and game plan we want to deliver.

“The mood is about that we’ve got to focus on Manchester United, we’ve got to be positive and go after three points.”
