Generic Referee Premier League

The match officials for Monday’s Premier League clash with Newcastle have been announced, with Michael Salisbury set to take charge at Elland Road.

The Lancashire-based official is vastly experienced in English football, working his way up from National League North level all the way to the top-flight, where he has featured 59 times to date.

The Whites have a mixed record from the six games overseen by Salisbury, winning two of those and drawing once. Two of those encounters came last campaign, and one came in the EFL Championship as the Whites dismantled Cardiff City 7-0.

Most recently, the 41-year-old officiated the dramatic 2-2 draw away at Bournemouth last campaign, Sean Longstaff on target to secure a late equaliser on the South Coast.

Newcastle have also seen Salisbury take to the pitch on six occasions, overseeing three wins and two draws.

Running the touchlines are Adam Nunn & Nick Hopton with Tom Nield appointed as Fourth Official. Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is VAR John Brooks and Additional VAR James Mainwaring.
