The match officials for Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Brentford have been announced, with Tony Harrington set to take charge at Elland Road.
In the early stages of the new season, the North East based official has refereed three fixtures, one each in the Sky Bet Championship and League One, before overseeing Everton’s midweek EFL Cup victory over Preston North End.
The Whites have a good record in their 17 games to involve the official, winning six of those and drawing a further six, and are unbeaten in their previous five.
Most recently, Harrington was in the middle for the Whites’ 1-1 draw on Wearside with Sunderland last term which saw Dominic Calvert-Lewin round off a fine team move with a low finish to earn Daniel Farke’s team a deserved point.
Brentford, meanwhile, have recorded similar results from their 17 games the referee has taken charge of, winning eight and losing six. Last time out, the Bees fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of eventual champions Arsenal in December.
Running the touchlines are Scott Ledger and Akil Howson with Farai Hallam appointed as Fourth Official. Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is VAR Neil Davies and Additional VAR Steven Meredith.
