Marcelo Bielsa has spoken with the media after his side were defeated by West Ham United.

The Whites lost 2-0 at the London Stadium on their first ever visit to the ground, following goals by Jesse Lingard and Craig Dawson for the hosts.

“The initial 15 minutes were very good," Bielsa explained.

“In the final 30 minutes of the first half we defended poorly. In the second half we defended well and we attacked well.

“I think barring those 30 minutes, we were superior to the opponent. But, we can’t ignore 30 minutes from a game.

“So my conclusion is that we played better in the second half than they did in the first half. The differences in the first half were smaller than in the second half.

“I think we created 10 opportunities at goal between the two halves, without taking into the account the goals that were disallowed.

“I think they were sufficient to deserve a different result."
