Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Saturday’s defeat against Swansea City.

The Whites suffered a first league defeat of the season against the Swans at Elland Road, who leapfrogged Leeds in the table.

The move saw Leeds drop to third and Bielsa gave his opinion on the defeat.

“The individual performance of the players was positive, talking about each player individually,” said Bielsa.

“Our players played a little under the limit that they have.

“We had the ball constantly and defended well and we created enough chances to deserve two or three goals.

“The chances that the opposing team had was restricted to corners, but not directly from the corner, more from the second ball of the corners and we can’t criticise this.

“We had high possession of the ball, we attacked with enough calm and this is the analysis of the game.

“There were very good, balanced referee decisions, with an opponent that tried to play and we created 12 or more chances to score a goal.

“We needed to win today, or the minimum don’t lose the game.

“We lost one game that we could win perfectly.

“We have now lost five points playing at home, so you have enough space you can be a little bit disappointed.

“We cannot criticise the style of the team who play, but we were creating conditions to be able to win all six games we've played until now.”
