Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Charlton Athletic.

For a second game running, Leeds were made to rue missed opportunities, with the Addicks claiming all three points at The Valley.

Speaking in his post match press conference, Bielsa gave his verdict on the match, which saw Leeds knocked off top spot in the Sky Bet Championship.

“The difference between both teams was big,” said Bielsa.

“The fact we didn’t impose this superiority is the explanation for what happened.

“I say this to say something different and to focus more on our difficulties, because if not I should say what I always say. One shot, one goal.

“We had possession and we controlled the game, but the match was less clean than usual.

“With our play at the beginning of the first half and how we ended the match in the second half, was two different ways of playing.

“In the first half we playing more clear and in the second half more direct, it was what the match was demanding at that moment.

“I say nothing new because nothing new happened.”
