Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media following Saturday’s draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

The Whites and the Owls played out a goal-less stalemate at Hillsborough, with both sides hitting the woodwork.

Bielsa gave his verdict on the match, which keeps Leeds just in front of Wednesday in the Sky Bet Championship.

“The result of the match was fair,” said Bielsa.

“We have to give some value to our performance, in this kind of match you can win or you can lose as well.

“It was a different match to those we are used to playing, in the first half we played better, but even when we controlled the match, they had chances also.

“In the second half the match changed, they could impose their style on ours.

“Sometimes we commanded the match and sometimes they controlled the match, we missed goals and they missed goals too.

“After we can say it was a match similar for both teams because the chances for both of us as quite similar.

“They had more chances, but maybe less clear than us.

“Also, one feature of the first half was we had good opportunities and where we had a lot of advantage, but we couldn’t transform this situation in one chance.”
