Marcelo Bielsa has spoken with the media, after seeing his Leeds United side win 3-1 against Leicester City.
The Whites had to come from behind at the King Power Stadium, but did just that in style and secured their sixth away win of the season.
“It’s a triumph against a rival who plays very well, who is in the upper part of the table,” Bielsa explained.
“This gives importance to our performance but I have to admit the game was even. In the first half, both teams played well.
“The game was similar to what we expected. We were able to construct some of the things that we wanted, but they also created danger according to their characteristics.
“In the second half, not until we adapted to the change in distribution of their players, in those 10 or 15 minutes it was difficult to neutralise them.
“After that we started getting better with the recoveries of the ball, we managed to score, but immediately after that they deserved to score for the draw.
“In the following 10 minutes, we managed to play an even game and then the final part of the game was easier.”
Marcelo credited his entire squad following an excellent team display, but also gave special praise to Bamford when asked about his performance.
He said: “For a goal scorer, it’s very important to get back on the score sheet.
“What I value the most is the Harrison goal, instead of going for goal, he chose to give the pass which is not usual for a goal-scorer.
“It describes Bamford more than anything that he thinks more about the team, than himself.”
