Manor Solomon scored the opening goal and then assisted the winner, to help Leeds United defeat Preston North End at Elland Road.

Having secured the three points, the Whites moved back to the top of the Sky Bet Championship standings with four games to play.

Speaking after the match, Solomon gave his views on the performance to the media.

He said: “It feels great, it’s a big win for us.

“After the draw that we had at home [against Swansea City], we knew that we had to come here and we had to win this game, and we took the three points.

“It wasn't an easy game. It was a really difficult game until the end. I think we let the fans be a bit panicked until the end, but we're happy with the three points.

“Everything I get, I try to score, to assist, to help my teammates. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I think prior to this game, I was a bit unlucky with goals and assists in the last couple of games.

“But yeah, I'm just trying to do my job in the best way I can and I'm happy that it worked today, it was special.

“I'll tell you why also, because I think before my injury, I used to score many goals like this. And since then, since I came back, I hadn’t scored this type of goal. So I was really happy about this goal that it finally came in.

“Then yeah, the assist [for Jayden Bogle’s winner], I always try to give it with my left foot, to cut to the left, like also in the last game against Middlesbrough and in other few games. So, I was happy it went in.

“So overall we're really happy, but we know that we need to stay humble.”
