Manchester United: Match Officials appointed

Appointments made for Monday’s fixture.

Generic Referee Premier League

The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League tie with Manchester United have been announced, with Paul Tierney set to take charge at Old Trafford.

The fixture is the second time the 45-year-old has officiated the Whites this season, after Leeds advanced to the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup at the expense of Birmingham City on penalties back in February, and it will be the third meeting between the two sides the Lancashire-based referee has overseen.

Unlike his sole fixture in charge of the Whites this season, Tierney is yet to referee the hosts with his most recent match in charge being a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford in the 2023/24 season.

So far in all competitions this term, the official has overseen 20 matches, showing 69 yellow cards and no red cards.

Supporting him on the night will be Richard West and Scott Ledger, with Adam Herczeg on the touchline as the fourth official. Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is Video Assistant Referee John Brooks and Additional VAR Daniel Robathan.
