Leeds United defender Luke Ayling spoke to the media following defeat against Everton in the Premier League.
The Whites produced a battling display at Elland Road, but their efforts were rewarded with nothing after first half goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Ayling was disappointed with the manner of the goals conceded and felt Leeds were unlucky not to get a point.
“It was two sloppy goals to concede,” said Ayling.
“The first goal he was free in the six yard box which can’t happen and for the second it’s my man from a corner and I got caught napping, so it was two sloppy goals.
“We came back into it in the second half, we had some great chances and could probably have nicked a draw, but you can’t afford to go two goals down in this league.
“We started the game really well and played a good 30 minutes, but went off it for the last 15 minutes of the first half.
“After the break we wanted to come out and play that first 30 minutes in the first half for the whole second half.
“We knew chances would come and we scored early on and we thought we had a good chance, but their goalkeeper made two great saves in 30 seconds which could have changed the game, so it was just disappointing.”
