Leeds United skipper Liam Cooper spoke to the media following Thursday’s victory over Stoke City.
Cooper netted his second goal of the season as the Whites thumped the struggling Potters 5-0 at Elland Road.
The win ensures Leeds now have a six point advantage over third placed Brentford with four games to play and the captain was pleased with the performance.
“It was professional, it was us, it was our identity and the way we play,” said Cooper.
“It was intense and we enjoyed it, who doesn’t enjoy those types of games?
“The pressure was on with West Brom and Brentford getting good results, so it was important we came out and played the right way.
“We’d be lying if we didn’t look at other results as it’s that stage of the season where everybody does, but we know what we need to do.
“We know we need to concentrate on ourselves and ourselves only and everything else will take care of itself.
“I thought we approached the game in an unbelievable way and we scored goals in important parts of the game.
“We created a lot of chances and we’ve managed to put a lot away which was nice.
“It takes so much pressure off the likes of Patrick Bamford and Tyler Roberts when the other lads are chipping in as well and we did that.
“It was nice to chip in with a goal, but I’m more pleased with the clean sheet and three points.
“We look forward to Sunday now.”
