Leeds United to support annual Play Safe campaign

Play Safe banner 2025

Leeds United are proud to once again stand alongside the wider football community to support the FA’s annual Play Safe campaign, reiterating the importance of safeguarding across every level of football.

The Play Safe campaign, taking place from Saturday 27th September to Sunday 28th September 2025, is backed by the Premier League, EFL, Barclays Women’s Super League, and Barclays Women’s Championship for the fourth consecutive season and is led by The FA in partnership with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).

This year the theme for the campaign is titled ‘Small Talk is Bigger Than You Think’ and is focused on giving young people a voice. It is a call to action for every adult in football to create open conversations, ask questions, and actively listen to children of all ages.

For the club, the Leeds United Foundation and the Leeds United Academy, safeguarding is a year-round commitment and a shared responsibility to ensure a safe, positive and inclusive environment for everyone.

The club will continue to be committed to building a safer game so that everyone feels safe.
