Last weekend, Leeds United were represented on the musical front as Roundhay Park welcomed a line-up full of international superstars to West Yorkshire for a new flagship event, Roundhay Festival.

The event built on the park’s rich musical history which has seen sets from Michael Jackson (1988), Madonna (1987), The Rolling Stones (1982), Bruce Springsteen (1985), U2 (1993), Robbie Williams (2006) and Ed Sheeran (2018) in the past.

For the festival’s maiden showing, West Yorkshire welcomed musical superstars from across the globe, ranging from Miami rapper Pitbull to Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi, and even more traditional symphonies from the world-renowned Hallé Orchestra.

Pitbull brought a party, with thousands arriving in the customary outfit – a bald cap, black tie and white shirt – with the Grammy-winning rapper transforming the park grounds into an all-out fiesta.

Lewis Capaldi’s show had a celebratory feel, as it was his return to the venue since supporting Ed Sheeran in 2019. The entire amphitheatre was full of his fans as he marked his return to the stage after a break from touring due to health reasons.

The weekend wasn’t to be without any Leeds United memorabilia, as sporting the brand new 2026/27 adidas away shirt, Jacob Alon and Kerr Mercer took to their sets on Saturday night. Kerr opened up the main stage for Lewis Capaldi, before Jacob served up a set of folk songs, both representing the Whites.
