The Leeds United Foundation are delighted to introduce their new Young Person Coaches Club and their Women and Girls Coaches Club.
The two programmes are positioned for people aged 15 to 17 who are looking to explore the world of coaching, with the support of the club’s official charity.
The Coaches Club programmes cover a 10-month period, with 15 aspiring coaches chosen for each programme to gain essential experience and develop their skills by learning the basics of coaching following a thorough practical and educational plan. Throughout the 10 months, the coaches will be able to gain hands-on experience through the Leeds United Foundation and their wide range of initiatives and targeted events, whilst being mentored by experienced coaching staff.
There are a number of benefits for young people looking to get involved in one of the Coaches Clubs, female and male, and the main aim for the programme will be to develop a new generation of confident and enthusiastic coaching staff to help drive forward our programmes and be key role models for future players.
Young people will be able to apply online for either course and you may then be asked to attend a short interview. If accepted onto the course, each coach will complete eight months on the programme, and the Leeds United Foundation will then fund each coach onto the introduction to coaching football course.
