Leeds United are delighted to announce a new commentary deal with BBC Radio Leeds has been agreed.
The new five-year contract which has been signed will see the long-standing relationship between the club and local radio station continue until at least the end of the 2030/31 campaign.
BBC Radio Leeds will continue to provide live commentary of all Leeds United fixtures, home and away, in both league and cup competitions.
The match day commentary team will be headed up by Adam Pope and he will again be joined by guest summarisers, including former top-flight title winning defender Jon Newsome.
Supporters will also be able to hear regular exclusive interviews with Leeds United players and staff on the station, throughout each season.
All matches will continue to be broadcast on BBC Radio Leeds 92.4 FM, with selected fixtures also available on Digital Radio and BBC Sounds throughout the UK.
Leeds United Managing Director, Robbie Evans, said: “We love our supporters and have heard from them repeatedly how important it is to be able to listen to live Leeds United match commentary on local radio.
“Our relationship with BBC Radio Leeds spans decades and has never been better. We are delighted this relationship will now continue for a further five years.
“Supporters have been able to listen to many joyous moments over the past couple of years on BBC Radio Leeds, and hopefully there are more on the way soon!"
