Laura Bartup chatted with LUTV after her side came from behind to secure three points away at Durham Cestria on Sunday afternoon.

Top-scorer for the Whites this season, Bartup added another two to her impressive tally which ultimately secured the victory for Dan O’Hearne’s side.

Following the win, she said: “After going a goal down from the free-kick I thought we reacted well.

“We passed the ball around nicely and it was great to get the three points. Last week was hard to take so it was definitely a good response.

“We obviously weren’t very happy after losing to Newcastle so it was good to bounce back and get the win.

“It feels nice to be back on the scoresheet as well, it’s been a while. I’ve been putting pressure on myself to get one.

“As a striker it is your job to score the goals so it was nice to get a couple today and help the team.

“We all believe in each other here, it’s a great bunch of girls to play with. After last week - where the performance wasn’t good enough - we had a job to do.

“Dan asked us to go out there and play how we can play and that’s what we did, and we got the points.”
