Leeds United Women returned to winning ways via a 3-2 victory over Chester-le-Street Town Ladies on Sunday, goals coming from Brittany Sanderson, Alice Hughes and Ellie White.
After the match, Kath Smith spoke to LUTV, she said: "Sometimes you have to win ugly, I think that's what we did today. Disappointing to concede two goals, both were preventable.
"Sometimes you have to win ugly and we dug in, we got three goals and we got three points, so moving on to next week.
"We've got talent all over the team, not just the starting 11, and everyone can pick up goals. So I think it's important that they come from different people because you can't just rely on one person. It helps relieve the pressure a bit.
"We're obviously disappointed after last week, so really gutted about that, so it's nice to bounce back with a win."
On next week's clash against Blackburn Rovers Women: "They'll be strong, they'll be tough. We've got to dig in, like every game is a cup final from now on until the end of the season, so we just treat every game as it comes and then see what happens."
