Leeds United will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, as Daniel Farke’s side aim to build on their historic victory over rivals Manchester United on Monday night.
Ahead of the clash, goalkeeper Karl Darlow spoke exclusively to Premier League Productions to share his thoughts on last weekend’s win, as well as looking ahead to the upcoming fixture.
“It was an incredible feeling,” the Welsh international began. “At the stage of the season where we are now, it was a brilliant three points for us and something that can give us confidence going into the running towards the end of the season.
“I think we started the game so so well and the belief and confidence probably grew throughout the first half. We had a couple of really good chances as well in that first half where we felt maybe it could be even more. To actually get the result over the line and give the fans and ourselves a night to remember was really special!”
Looking ahead to Saturday’s clash with Wolves, the goalkeeper added: “It is the quality of performance more than anything that I hope we can take on into the next game and make sure we maintain the performance levels that we did.
“They have got great quality which we know we have to be respectful of. We know that they are going to fight. They are obviously a good side that we know we need to be concentrated on and make sure that we take care of business.
“Hopefully the crowd are excitable and fully behind you like they are be at Elland Road. They have been incredible since I have been here in terms of what they bring to us at home.
“Throughout the whole campaign, I feel like they have supported us all the way through. They play a massive part especially at home and I think you can see from our results this season in terms of what they bring to us. I cannot speak highly enough and hopefully they get us over the line.”
