Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips made a special visit to one of the Foundation’s ‘United on Tour’ sessions recently, spending time with over 50 youngsters in attendance at the football camp.
The dynamic midfielder took time out following a training session on Tuesday afternoon to pay a visit to Beeston Juniors, based just minutes away from Elland Road, to learn more about the 'United on Tour' initiative, watch some of their football sessions and hold an exclusive Q and A with the youngsters.
The club's official charity launched the new soccer school initiative at the beginning of the school holidays, linking up with a number of different grassroots clubs to provide educational football sessions across the Leeds area to help keep children active and healthy over the summer break.
The sessions are just £20 per child and take place Monday to Thursday* for youngsters aged 5 to 12. Please note that 25% of the funds raised at each location goes straight back to the grassroots club hosting the camp to help with their development.
All of the sessions are fully-supervised and delivered by Leeds United Foundation FA qualified coaches who are DBS checked and first aid trained.
