At the heart of the Leeds United defence, Joe Rodon received the Player of the Match trophy for his effort towards claiming an important point against Crystal Palace.
The Whites had to battle for every ball at Selhurst Park and played the majority of the match with 10 players but came away with an impressive clean sheet.
“I think in the first half we kind of started a little bit slow but then we grew into the game,” Rodon told Premier League Productions shortly after the full-time whistle.
“And of course we had the penalty and didn’t put it away but listen, that is football, you have got to react. And I thought the boys showed great spirit today. Every point is important so, yeah, delighted to come away with a point.”
On the spirit and togetherness shown in the team, the Wales international praised his teammates and spoke of the importance of the group as a whole.
“Even the boys that came on at half time, you could see, you know, everyone knows their roles and we all have a responsibility.
“And that just shows the unity and togetherness in the group. And like I said, that is going to be really important going into this last stage of the season and yeah, I believe we stick together and we will be successful.
“There is a big game coming this weekend [at home to Brentford] and we are going to give everything and we want to win that game.”
