Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu spoke to the media after playing a key part in his side keeping a clean sheet away from home at Crystal Palace.
The midfielder helped lead the Whites to an important point on the road under challenging circumstances, following Gabriel Gudmundsson’s first half dismissal.
“It is a good point in the end,” Ampadu answered, summarising the game. “Obviously when you are digging in and you are fighting, it is I suppose, a nice reward to share a point like that.
“So yeah, maybe good point in the end and I think a bit of frustration too because we had a couple of chances as well.
“When you go down to 10, you normally say you are going to have to dig in a little bit more and you have got to fight for each other, which is no surprise that we did.
“So it does change the game but we had full confidence that we could get a point out of the game.
“And to show that character and that fight, that is the baseline for the lads to be completely together today.”
