Leeds United Under-21s scored three goals, recorded three points and kept a clean sheet away at Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s on Saturday lunchtime.
Leading from the back, Jeremiah Mullen played a big role in the win, scoring the third goal and helping his side to limit the opposition at the other end.
Speaking after the victory over the 2023/24 Premier League 2 champions, Mullen gave his thoughts to leedsunited.com.
He said: “We’re happy to get the three points and it was a good win, I thought.
“First half, there were spells where we had to defend for a long period of time, but I thought every time we went forward we looked like we could score goals.
“Then, obviously we were 2-0 up at half time and we knew we just needed to keep a clean sheet in the second half, then we'd win the game and get three points.
“I thought we defended well in the second half and then it was good to get a goal, it’s something I've been working on a lot in training.
“We’ve worked on set pieces, both attacking and defending, so I'm happy to get a goal in a game and let the hard work pay off.
“It shows we've got a good group. Coming here, we knew they would be a good team.
“They won the league last year, so yeah, it was good to get three points and a clean sheet against them.”
