It will be successive weekends in the West Midlands for Leeds United, heading back to Birmingham for a clash with high-flying Aston Villa on Saturday after Emirates FA Cup action last time out.
The Whites have lost just two of their last 15 outings in all competitions, with full-back Jayden Bogle enjoying a fine spell of form in the defence or, showing his versatility in recent weeks, on the wing.
The 25-year-old scored his first Premier League goal for the club in United’s 3-1 victory against Nottingham Forest and earned an assist in their late draw with Chelsea.
Ahead of the trip to Villa Park, Bogle spoke to the media, praising his side for the fight they showed in their Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round win over Birmingham City.
“It was tough,” he said. “They were an aggressive side, a physical side. We know how difficult it can be against Championship teams from last season, we know how games can go. It is just about staying in the game and then our quality will come through.
“But it went down to penalties in the end and credit to the boys for the quality to put the penalties away. I had full faith in them.
“I am confident for Aston Villa,” the defender continued. “We have to be confident against everyone in this league, otherwise it can get really difficult. We respect them, they are a fantastic side, but I think we are just focusing on what we can do.
“I think every game, whether it is home or away, we have to approach with a mindset that we are good enough to go and win. That is the mindset we will go into the game with, while obviously being respectful that they are a fantastic side.
“I am entirely focused on what we are trying to do here and what we are trying to achieve by the end of the season.”
