Leeds United winger Jack Harrison spoke to LUTV following Tuesday’s win over Reading in the Sky Bet Championship.

Harrison came up with an 87th minute winner at the Madejski Stadium to send the Whites to the top of the division.

The winger was delighted to come away with the three points, which was a fourth in a row and stretched the sides unbeaten run to seven games.

“It was a tough match, but we knew how important it was coming here and getting the three points,” said Harrison.

“We had a game plan and we stuck to it, the team worked hard and we ultimately got the three points we deserved.

“We had some opportunities where we were a bit unfortunate here and there, but we know if we stick to our game plan we have enough talent in the team to score goals.

“That’s what we’ve been doing in the last few games, we know how important it is to get the three points and as a squad we are fit enough to play out the games and get these last minute goals because of how fit the team is and we continue to work hard.”

Harrison also spoke through his goal and had praise for fellow winger Helder Costa who provided the assist.

“We won the ball back deep in our half and I saw the play building up on the right hand side and everyone keeps telling me how important it is for me to get to the back post, so I tried to make the back post and it was a brilliant ball by Helder and I was fortunate enough to be there and get my head on it.

“I went straight to Helder to thank him and it was brilliant to get the result and win, it is all about the team and the three points is the main thing.

“We’ve got another game on Saturday now, we have to keep on track, not get complacent and be focused on that game.”
