Jack Harrison: We can be very happy with that performance

Jack Harrison was impressive throughout against Burnley, as Leeds United scored four goals without a reply from the hosts.

The winger ended the match with a goal and two assists, continuing the fine form he has shown throughout the season.

Speaking after the match, Harrison discussed the goal he scored as well as praising his teammates who helped make it a comfortable three points.

He said: “My goal was a bit lucky, but as a team we can be very happy with that performance!

“I meant to direct it towards goal but I wasn’t sure if I was offside or not, luckily I was onside.

“Rodrigo makes some brilliant runs and you can see the quality that he has to finish it off, two class finishes from him.”

The win moved 10th placed Leeds onto 53 points for the season, just three points behind Tottenham who sit in seventh.

On the game itself, Harrison felt the early defending allowed the team to settle and then go on to win it.

“The first five minutes of the game they were all over us, kept us in our box and it was very difficult for us to play out,” Harrison explained.

“I think we defended well and managed to get through it as a team, then after that settle down and play our game.

“We’re always ambitious as a team. It has been a good season so far for us as a club in the first season back in the Premier League.

“We’re hoping to finish strong.”
