Leeds United winger Jack Harrison spoke to the media ahead of Sunday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Cardiff City.

The Whites will return to action for the first time since March, when the league was postponed following the Coronavirus pandemic, with the Whites at the top of the table, with nine games remaining.

Leeds were on a run of five wins in a row, without conceding a goal and Harrison hopes the side can continue in that vein at the Cardiff City Staidum.

“It’s definitely exciting to be getting to back playing again,” said Harrison.

“The players and fans have been waiting for this for a long time and we’ve been waiting to find out what has been happening with the league.

“We’ve done a lot of preparation in terms of physical fitness whilst we’ve been in quarantine.

“The training we’ve had has prepared us for anything and us and the team and the fans have been ready for this weekend to come around.

“Going off from where we left the league, everyone is physically ready and mentally ready and we want to go and get promotion.

“At this stage, we know under the circumstances that every game is going to be a difficult game and have the sensation of a final.

“If we concentrate on what we can control and prevent as many mistakes as possible, we are prepared to play any team and if we do what we know we can do, there’s no reason why we can’t come away with the three points.

“The message is that we have nine finals and we have to take it game by game and if we do the things we know we can do right, there is no reason why we can’t carry on from where we left off.”
