Information for supporters travelling to St. James’ Park

St. James' Park

Leeds United travel to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle United in the Premier League on Wednesday evening and we would like to thank every fan that will be making the journey to support the team.

During your trip, please remember that we are all representing not only Leeds United Football Club, but also the city of Leeds, and we ask that you always show respect to other fans, staff and players.

Dangerous behaviours, discriminatory language, tragedy chanting, and inappropriate gestures are not acceptable. You could be breaking the law and face a football ban. The club condemns these kinds of behaviours and has a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of hate.

Digital ticketing will become a mandatory requirement for all existing Premier League clubs by no later than Season 2026/27 and will be in use at tomorrow’s match.

Digital tickets can only be downloaded once. Please note, screenshots of digital tickets will not work. All supporters are encouraged to arrive early for this game with sufficient phone charge and ensure that they have downloaded their digital ticket to their Apple/ Google wallet on their smartphone before arriving at the St James’ Park.

Some things to take into consideration ahead of travelling can be found below.

Plan your journey early:

  • Whether you’re travelling by train/car/bus make sure you leave with plenty of time to spare before the game. Supporters are advised to arrive no later than 60 minutes before kick-off.

  • If supporters are travelling by car, Newcastle recommend pre-booking parking in a safe and secure car park to avoid paying fines. Reservations can be made at

  • Car Parks – 6pm

  • Away Ticket Office – 6:45pm

  • Turnstiles – 6:45pm

Know the stadium layout and policies:

  • Visiting fans should enter St. James’ Park via the access number which can be found on their tickets. Normally, visiting supporters will be at turnstiles 89-94 which can be found in the Leazes Stand.

  • Entry to St. James’ Park is handled by digital tickets which are available to download to your smartphone. Please download this ticket as soon as possible before arriving at the stadium and ensure your phone is fully charged.

  • Contactless payments are encouraged at kiosks in the concourse, with a limited number of locations accepting cash.

Stay safe:

  • Keep others as safe as possible at all times, especially during any match incidents and both pre-match and at half-time in the concourses.

  • Remember that throwing objects and the use of flares, pyrotechnics and smoke bombs are strictly forbidden. Remain in the seat you have purchased, and refrain from standing on your seats and blocking aisles in the away section.

  • All supporters will be searched thoroughly before entering the stadium.
