The match officials for Leeds United’s trip to the MKM Stadium on Wednesday against Hull City have been confirmed, with Stephen Martin set to take charge.

The Staffordshire based official is the son of former Premier League referee Andy, who officiated during the 1990s.

He is part of the Select Group 2 list of referees and has been an EFL match official since the 2012/13 campaign.

Martin last took charge of Leeds on Boxing Day 2018, when two stoppage time goals from Kemar Roofe gave the Whites a 3-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road.

In total, Martin has refereed Leeds five times in his career, with the Whites winning all five matches. He has issued five yellow cards to Leeds players, eight to opposition players and awarded one penalty to opponents.

Martin last refereed Hull City in their 1-0 away win against Birmingham City in December 2022.

Wednesday will be the 15th time Martin has taken charge of a Tigers fixture, and to date, Hull have won four, drawn three and lost seven.  In those matches he has issued 14 yellow cards to Hull players, 19 to opposition players and awarded two penalties to opponents.

This season, Martin has issued 17 cautions and he last took charge of Plymouth’s 3-0 home victory over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday 2nd September.
