Anton Stach was voted Leeds United’s Hisense Player of the Match following Friday night’s 3-1 victory over Burnley at Elland Road.
The German midfielder earned 65% of the fan vote after an influential display that set the tone for the hosts, finishing well ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin (10%), Ao Tanaka (7%) and Noah Okafor (6%).
Stach played 72 minutes before being replaced by Brenden Aaronson, but had already made a decisive impact in both attacking and defensive phases.
He opened the scoring in the eighth minute, capitalising on space outside the Burnley penalty area before driving a precise left-footed effort into the bottom right corner.
It proved to be the standout moment in a performance packed with attacking intent. Stach registered five shots — more than any other player on the pitch - and created three chances, the highest tally in the match.
Operating in midfield, he also recorded 48 touches and completed 11 accurate passes, while his ability to carry the ball forward was evident with 13 carries covering a total distance of 106.3 metres.
His influence extended beyond attacking contributions. Stach made six defensive actions, including a tackle, an interception and two recoveries, while also winning six duels.
He also had a notable presence in advanced areas, registering the joint-most touches in the opposition box as Leeds consistently applied pressure.
