Karl Darlow was voted the Hisense Player of the Match by Leeds United supporters after producing an impressive display in Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Elland Road.
The experienced goalkeeper earned 35 per cent of the fan vote following a commanding performance between the posts, helping Daniel Farke’s side secure all three points and another important clean sheet on home turf.
Darlow was in excellent form throughout the contest, playing the full 90 minutes and making seven crucial saves to deny the visitors. Calm and assured in possession, he also recorded 50 touches and completed 16 passes during the victory.
Defensively, the Welsh international contributed eight recoveries, two clearances and won an aerial duel as Leeds stood firm to protect their narrow advantage.
The shutout against Brighton marked Darlow’s 10th clean sheet for the club and his fifth of the current campaign.
Jaka Bijol finished second in the supporter vote with 23 per cent after another strong defensive display, whilst goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin came third on 15 per cent. Club captain Ethan Ampadu received 12 per cent of the vote to finish fourth.
