Leeds United are continuing to support people in the local community through the struggles they are currently facing due to the devastating COVID-19 crisis.
Coaches from the Leeds United Foundation are volunteering to support the emergency food plan devised by Leeds City Council to take care of those who are most in need during this period whilst the club have also provided food parcels and packages to vulnerable families and thrown their full support behind a fundraising campaign in partnership with local charity Holbeck Together.
The fundraising campaign is called ‘United Together’ and is now live, with every donation made going towards giving extra support to people that have been heavily impacted by the outbreak in our local community.
Times are tough for a lot of people and it has been heart-breaking to see some losing their jobs, others who are vulnerable and at high risk unable to get access to essential items and youngsters who would usually be on free school meals struggling to find replacements.
Now is a time to pull together and help support these people whether they are in Holbeck, in the shadow of Elland Road, where there has been a huge increase in the number of people requiring extra support or those in the wider community.
Our friends at Holbeck Together deliver a Neighbourhood Network Scheme that provides a variety of services, activities and opportunities for people of all generations and they need the help of our loyal supporters to help raise some of these precious funds that will pay for hot meals, food and essential items during this period of uncertainty.
If everyone could give just £1 each, there will quickly be enough to help people who need it most through this difficult time, so if you are able to make a donation it will be massively appreciated.
