The Leeds United Foundation are pleased to announce the launch of two new Development Centres as additions to their Female Pathway programmes.
The two new areas that have been added include Snaith and Garforth, with both centres set to open in September for young females looking to improve and develop their footballing abilities.
Those taking part in the Development Centres, being delivered by the club’s official charity, are taking their first steps into the female pathway at Leeds United, with the main aim to increase participation in girls’ football.
Young females who are aged from 7 to 15 and are interested in playing football, developing their skills, and being a part of the Leeds United family, will find that this is the perfect opportunity to do just that.
The programme has been designed to find and nurture young female talent within our region, providing a platform for them to perform at their best level after receiving first-class coaching and support. The initiative is for females only, and there will be one training session per week, with the opportunity to then progress into the Girls Shadow Squad.
Each session will be based on individualised coaching, giving participants the chance to also develop their confidence and leadership skills, ensuring all aspects of the game are covered.
The current Development Centres available to join are:
Monday – Garforth Academy (5.30-6.30pm)
Tuesday – Snaith High School (5-6pm)
Wednesday – Calderdale College in Halifax and Grammar School at Leeds (6-7pm)
Friday – Aspire at the Park (7-8pm) and King James High School (6-7pm)
