Leeds United duo Ethan Ampadu and Illan Meslier have been named in the PFA's Championship Team of the Year for the 2023/24 season.
Stars from across the footballing world descended upon Manchester's Opera House on Tuesday evening, as the Professional Footballers' Association hosted the 2024 edition of their annual awards.
During a season in which Leeds finished third, having won 27 games and reached 90 points, the inclusions of Meslier and Ampadu, along with former players Crysencio Summerville and Archie Gray, saw the Whites make up four of the XI selected for the Team of the Year.
His fifth season with the club, Meslier racked up 19 clean sheets over the course of the 2023/24 campaign, making 43 league appearances, as he tied with West Brom's Alex Palmer for the Championship's Golden Glove award.
Following his move from Chelsea last summer, Ampadu made an instant impact for his new side, as the Leeds skipper formed a formidable centre back partnership with Joe Rodon.
The 23 year old played in every single league and playoff game last season, as the Whites reached the final at Wembley, whilst also captaining the side in 22 of those 49 games, after taking on the armband in the second half of the season.
