Leeds United Women face potentially their biggest test yet as they welcome Stockport County Women to the BD Community Stadium on Sunday in the FA WNL Division One North.
The clash between first and third in the standings presents a real opportunity for the Whites to make a statement, with Ellie White giving her thoughts ahead of the fixture.
“We’re feeling really confident and ready for the challenge that Stockport face.
“I think momentum is massive, especially in our league. Every game is so important, so to have the start that we’ve had, we’re feeling really excited for the game on Sunday.”
Leeds, after a spell of matches on the road, take to Garforth for the second consecutive time. White believes playing at home gives the squad a significant advantage.
“We say it every week, the home fans are incredible. They really drive us every week and we really appreciate all the support from the fans week in, week out.”
On Sunday’s opposition, the midfielder added: “Stockport have always been a good side, very structured and know their style of play.
“And yes, this will be the biggest test so far, but we’ve been working extremely hard in training and in the past few games to work on things and get it right ready for this test, so hopefully we can come away with another three points.
“We’ve been doing all the right things in the final third and been so clinical in front of goal at the start of the season, so to keep that tally going and getting different names on the scoresheet each week is massive and again builds momentum each week.”
