After three goals in three games for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, confidence is high in Leeds United's number 9 prior to travelling down to the capital for this weekend's Premier League fixture.

Leeds look to carry their momentum from thrilling performances against Chelsea and Liverpool into a tough match with Brentford this weekend. Prior to the Whites’ trip to the Gtech Sunday, the attacker spoke to the media.

“It is always good to be hitting the back of the net when you're a striker,” Calvert-Lewin said.

“It is what you get judged on at the end of the day, so it has been a good week for myself, but I am even more delighted with how the team has played.

“I think we have disappointed ourselves in moments where we lost points when we probably could have gained points, so that was frustrating for a period, but coming into this last week we knew it would be a huge week against very tough opposition,

"We wanted to not only compete and get points but make a statement of intent. I think that we did. Now, we can be proud, but the Premier League moves on quickly and we already have our heads on to the next game and how we can continue that momentum.

“We know that Brentford are a very dynamic team and in terms of distance covered, and the amount of work that they put in, they are well up there in the Premier League.

"So, we can expect a tough physical challenge. We must take the confidence that we have built from the games at home and back ourselves to go and execute our game plan.

“We have to be switched on and bring our A-game in order to take home three points. We know that if you can get momentum at the right times, you can fly up the table quickly.”
