Leeds United defender Diego Llorente spoke exclusively to LUTV following Wednesday’s 3-3 draw with Aston Villa at Villa Park.
The Whites came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 in Birmingham, with Llorente scoring the equalising goal.
Dan James scored a first half brace and had put Leeds ahead inside 10 minutes, prior to going behind and Llorente gave his assessment on the performance.
He said: “I thought we started the game well with the goal from Dan and we came so close to scoring a second goal as well.
“After this though, we lost control of the match and we have to improve in times like this, we have to manage moments of the game better.
“But the team never gave up, in the second half the response of the team was very good and I was happy to get the goal to help the team.
“When they had one player less at the end we tried to score one more goal and perhaps we could’ve got the three points, but overall the point is good.”
